Title:
Change of dimension in machine learning algorithms

Abstract:
In this thesis, we study supervised classification in machine learning, focusing on the challenges that arise from high-dimensional data. Specifically, we explore Support Vector Machines and random-projection ensemble classifiers as potential solutions. Through theoretical analyses and empirical studies, we investigate the value of these algorithms in both improving computational efficiency and model performance, providing insights into their application in real-world classification tasks.
